With Giveth, individuals, DAOs and communities can run crowdfunded campaigns (currently with DAI and ETH).

Campaigns live on the Giveth DApp which acts as a transparent front for the campaign with the accountability of human reviewers and the Ethereum blockchain.

The DApp is not necessarily needed, as the system works fully with smart contracts.

Additionally, the system can also handle liquid pledging, where donations can be given to a community of curators to delegate them on behalf of the donor - and if they don't like it, they have some time to cancel that delegation before it is locked in.
